John PRESCOTT WILL
(This is a will I picked up off the internet. I did not transcribe it. And it is probably not my family. I'm hoping someone can use it and possibly tell me something about this John Prescott. In the name of God amen, I John Prescoate of Beaufort County in the province of North Carolina being sick and weak but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God for the same do make and give in this my last will and testament in manner and form hereafter mentioned as for my body I recommend it into the hands of Almighty God that Gave it and as for such worldly goods as has pleased God to bless me with I give and dispose in manner and form hereafter mentioned Item I give unto my son John Prescoate, Jr one shilling being in full of his part of my estate Item I give unto my son Aaron Prescoate one shilling in full of his part of my estate. Item I give unto my son William Prescoate one shilling in full of his part of my estate. Item I give unto my son Benjamin Prescoate one shilling in full of his part of my estate. Item I give unto my son Simon Prescoate one shilling in full of his part of my estate. Item I give unto my daughter Anne McKingtosh one shilling in full of her part of my estate. Item I give unto my daughter Esbell Williams one shilling in full of her part of my estate. Item I give unto my daughter Hannah Prescoate all the remaining part of my estate both within door and out to her heirs forever after my just debts and funeral charges is paid and do make and ordain this my last will and testament making null all former wills by me made. In witness whereof I have here unto put my hand and seal this 21st day of Sept. 1772
