Ancestry.com   If you are serious about finding you ancestor, this should be your home base - well, after Family Tracks.  Ancestry has all the census records on line as well as the Social Security Death Index and many Military Records.  They are in the process of adding census, church, and vital records from around the world.  Although it is a fee based site, they have many records available for FREE.
