Henry Conckling - 1754  (End)
To all whom these presents shall come or may concern Greeting,
Know ye that at Sufolk County on the sixteenth day of January last, before Elijah Hutchinson, Esqr. being thereunto delegated and appointed the Last Will and Testament of Henry Conckling deceased a copy whereof is hereunto annexed was proved and now approved and allowed of by me The said deceased having whilst he lived and at the time of his death goods chattels and credits within this province by means whereof the proving and Registering the said will and the Granting administration of all and singular the said goods chattels and credits and also the auditing allowing and finds discharging the account thereof doth belong unto me; and that administration of all and singular the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased and any way concerning his will was granted unto Robert Hempsted, Esqr., Benjamin Conckling and John Conklin the executor in the said will named being first sworn will and faithfully to administer the same and to make and exhibit a true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the said goods chattels and credits and also to render a just and true account thereof, where thereunto lawfully required.  In Testimony whereof I have caused the prerogative seal of the Province of New York to e hereunto affixed, the twenty first day of February one thousand seven hundred and fifty four.

Thomas Pell - Probably 1753/54  (Beginning)

In the name of God Amen  I Thomas Pell of East Chester in the County of Westchester in the Province of New York Esqr. being much indisposed in body but of sound mind and memory thanks be to God do make my Last Will and Testament in manner following:

First    I commit my soul into the hands of God that gave it and my body to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my executors hereafter named hoping for pardon of all my sins through the Merits of Jesus Christ my Beloved Savoir and as touching my worldly Estate  I do dispose thereof as follows:

I will that one hundred pounds to my beloved wife Doryty Pell and to divide with the younger children; Samuel Pell, James Pell, Dority Pell, Rachell Pell and in portion what I gave to them four children I give to my son Thomas Pell five shillings.  I give to my son Roger Pell five shillings.  I give to my son Thomas Pell five shillings. I give to Sary Doge the wife of Camas Doge one shilling.  I give Mary Ward the wife of John Ward, Junior five pounds.  I give to my son David Pell five hundred pounds or the one half of my farm in Eastchester and Likewise the one half of the salt meadow and likewise I give to my son David my silver tankard and my silver tumbler that formerly belonged to my grandfather John Pell and further provide for my wife Dority Pell the best dweling Room in............

William Edwards - 1685 - Request for inventory

Thomas Dongan, Leut. Governor and Vice Admirall of New Yorke under his Majesty James the second by the grace of God of Engld. France and Iral. King Defender of the faith  (?) Supream Lord and Poprietor of the Colony and Province of New Yorke & its Dependencys in America To all whom this shall or may concerne. Greeting. Know ye that att a Court of Sessions held at Southold on the twenty first day of October last 1685 the will of Wm. Edwards of Easthampton in the County of Sufolk Late deceased annexed to these (??gents)  was proved who having while he lived and att the time of his death goods and chattles within the said towne and province of New yorke and Ann Edwards his widdow and relict being therein appointed his sole Executrix  the admicon of all And singular the said goods and chattles and the said will is hereby committed unto the said Ann Edwards well and truly to administor upon the same accordingly and to make a full & just inventory of all the goods and chattles of the said deceased and Exhibit the same into the secretarys office within six months after the date hereof and to render a true and just account of her admicon according to law given under my hand and sealed with the seale of the Province att Forth James in New Yorke the 27th Day of January A. D. 1685
