Notes for JESSE SQUIRE BUDD:

*** Jesse is married to Ellen in 1870. After we began researching Frances Barney we discovered the 1870 census listing which listed Ellen as Jesse's wife. Ellen should be the mother of  Squire James, Daniel Henry and George Grant. We have not been able to trace Ellen.

Census records say Aaron was born in Michigan and some say Amanda was buried in Indiana. It's certain that Jesse was a traveling man and is hard to trace.

The 1880 Census Record lists Jesse, Frances, James, George, and Daniel in Grant county, Wisconson, Fennimore.

Notes for F
RANCES JAMIMA BARNEY:
**** NOTE - APRIL 2004 - We recently learned that although Frances lived with Jesse Budd on the 1880 census record, she was living with her father in 1870 and Jesse was living with Ellen. This Ellen is probably the mother of Squire James, George Grant and Daniel. We have not been able to trace this Ellen. We can probably assume that the Barneys and Rogers are not is our family. We're leaving them in for the time being but need to resolve the relationship.
